Prijntje Rents1

d. before 11 April 1683
Prijntje Rents married Marinus van Aken before March 1682 in Cadzand, Zeeland, the Netherlands.2,3 She died before 11 April 1683.1
Prijntje Rents and Marinus van Aken were living in Cadzand, Zeeland, the Netherlands, in 1682 when they were witnesses to a baptism. Cadzand is a village in the province of Zeeland, in the far southwest corner of the Netherlands. The village sits on the coast of the North Sea and the border with Belguim. While it is likely that Marinus was born in Cadzand or at least near by, no birth record has been identified for Marinus.
A Cornelis van Aken was the father of the child for whose baptism Marinus was a witness in 1682. Further Cornelis was a witness for Marinus' second marriage in 1683. The relationship between Cornelis and Marinus is not known.3,4

b. circa 1719
FatherCornelis van Aken1 b. 25 May 1690, d. bt 20 Sep 1774 - 22 Jun 1775
MotherSarah Westbroek1 b. 10 Jun 1694, d. 20 Dec 1766
Abraham van Aken was born circa 1719 in Napanoch, Wawarsing, Ulster County, New York.1,2 He was the son of Cornelis van Aken and Sarah Westbroek.1 He was baptized on 10 January 1720 in the Dutch Reformed Church, Rochester, Ulster County, New York.1 He married Margriet Westfael on 29 March 1747 in the Dutch Reformed Church, Orange County, New York.3 He married Catharina Rosenkranz on 1 December 1748 in the Dutch Reformed Church, Orange County, New York.4
Abraham van Aken lived in Upper Smithfield Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, likely moved or died before 1772 as he is not listed in the Upper Smithfield Township tax list with his brother's John and James. In the abstract of his father's estate, the 1793 settlement suggests that the "legacy" inheritance was received by Cornelius Van Aken. That is either an incorrect transcription which should read Abraham Van Aken or suggests that Abraham was desceased and his share went to his son Cornelius.5,6
