Cynthia Ann Baney was born on 7 October 1860 in Cherrytree Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Frederick Baney and Mary Ann Fry.1 She married James Martin Tarr, son of Edward B. Tarr and Nancy Ann Duncan, on 9 February 1879.2,1 She died on 23 April 1943 in Dempseytown, Oakland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at age 82.1 She was buried in Cherrytree Cemetery, Cherrytree Township.1
